Welcome to WholeSelf Bodyworks
Hello, and thank you for visiting my website.
I'm Jc Drobac, a certified and licensed massage therapist, in private practice for the last 11 years, working in chiropractic offices and health clinics, maintaining a home studio in St. Paul and a studio in Northeast/Southeast Mpls.
I am a current member of ABMP
(Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals).
I received my diploma in 2001 from the
Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork.
If you're looking for specialized bodywork to support
a healthier you, I may be able to support your journey...
Massage therapy has a 2,000-year history of increasing longevity, flexibility and improved quality of life for its devotees--and each year, the numbers of those who discover these benefits grows.
Many of my in-studio clients originally arrive needing rehabilitation assistance
from an issue causing pain or limitation. They might be seeking pain relief from a chronically painful neck or back, a restricted shoulder, TMJ or plantar fasciitis,
or painful menstrual periods.
Others choose bodywork because it can support maintaining flexibility, range-of-motion, general loosening of hypertonic muscle tissue
or lymphatic flushing work before an upcoming event,
or just to keep them at their "everyday best" as a part of their self-care routine.
What many soon find out is that therapeutic bodywork treatments can contribute to so much more than simple neck or back pain relief--or even a good flush release.
It can add to the framework for a more balanced, all-around healthier life plan.

Got Stress?
Experts estimate that upwards of 90% of diseases have a stress-related origin. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. While eliminating anxiety and pressure altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, bodywork can, without a doubt, help manage stress. This translates into:
- Decreased anxiety
- Enhanced sleep quality
- Greater energy
- Improved concentration
- Increased circulation
- Reduced fatigue
Clients have often noted a sense of perspective and clarity after receiving a treatment session. The emotional balance and "clearing" that bodywork supports can often be just as vital and valuable as the more tangible physical benefits.

About Your Sessions...
Some of my clients had never experienced therapeutic massage before our sessions. Others have, some having had wonderful prior experiences,
while others may have had a less-than-ideal experience.
Whatever your situation, it can all contribute to making our treatment sessions rewarding ones for you now.
Regardless of your issues or symptoms, my approach to bodywork is that it is something always done
AS A TEAM
with my client and I working together
---never something done "to" a client.
YOUR COMFORT LEVEL IS THE
MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT
TO AN EFFECTIVE THERAPEUTIC
TREATMENT SESSION.
I believe techniques and their depths/pressure should never exceed a client's level of tolerance or it's just counter-productive in too many ways.
MILD discomfort may occur when working on troubled areas, but I encourage clients to communicate if they feel anything intolerable,
and I will often check in with clients to ensure their comfort.
If you're looking to get "beat up"
because you think this is the only way
to get results
(i.e. feel better/less pain),
I can assure you,
you WILL BE DISAPPOINTED
with my treatment methods
and may be better suited
to work with another therapist
or therapy to suit your needs.
I work with a slow, but deep pressure that respects the fascia's (skin's) many layers, allowing any fibrotic tissues to open up naturally and at a pace that lets each client's body dictate what it needs (not the therapist choosing what depth they want to apply). This deep application is (involving many fascia layers, muscle tissues, which supports lymphatic drainage and can decrease inflammation at the painful areas) done slowly which, in turn, doesn't trigger the already hypersensitive nerves that accompany any painful condition.
